Number of dollar millionaires in the Czech republic is growing

Number of dollar millionaires in the Czech republic reached the new maximum of 21 400. The Czech Republic showed significant growth in comparison with the global average results. According to the CEO of Capgamini Zdeněk Přibyl, it happened thanks to recent economic growth, increasing GDP, savings and rise of real estate prices. Most often Czech millionaires are men about 50-years old with university degrees. Majority of them are small and medium entrepreneurs, executive managers and owners of companies.

Czech millionaires prefer secure and conservative investments over immediate profit. Bonds are the most popular form of investment. They are followed by equity instruments, metals, arts and real estate. 25% of businessmen had already invested in land, while 25% more are planning to do so. Around one fourth of millionaires are investing in foreign companies and start-ups.

Number of dollar millionaires grew globally in recent years - in 2014 the list consisted of 15 millions of names. Their joint wealth is estimated to be more than 56 billions of dollars. Dollar millionaire is a person that owns more than 1 million of investable dollars in funds, shares, bills, fixed term deposits and bonds. Most of the dollar millionaires are coming from North America, that is followed by Asia and the Pacific region. Growth of fortunes in Europe is slower due to weaker economic performance and decline on regional stock markets.
